MPUS114 series are Vertical Single-stage Single-suction Pump is chiefly applied for cooling fresh water, cooling sea water, bilge & ballast system and fire & general service. The pump can be used as an automatic self-priming pump by fitting an air ejector.
This vertical centrifugal pump has been for convenience of shipboard outfitting and special consideration has been given to such points as minimizing the area of installation, ease of overhaul and at the same time reducing the maintenance cost and smooth operation.
Features
1.The pump rotating elements is rigidly connected to the motor shaft through closed coupling and supported by the line bearing provided in the cover and the ball bearing of the motor.
2.Small footprint, ease of maintenance.
3.The pump casing is integrally cast instead of conventional split construction.
4. Double volute design is adopted for the pump casing, so radial thrust on the impeller is minimized.
5. The impeller is of single suction and in order to improve suction performance, Francis vanes are adopted.
6. The axial thrust is cased by the weight of the rotating elements alone and it is so designed as to balance the hydraulic thrust.
7. The shaft sealing is mechanical seal or gland-packing.
